Dear friends,
our loyal and new audience members!
Our dialogue, that started more than quarter century ago, in 1992, continues on. We managed to fill a huge void that existed in Soviet times. We offered the entirely different views of the World theatre, unknown to the Russian audiences. At the turn of the millennium, during the 2001 Theatre Olympics, we have opened up theater to the city, involved Muscovites and guests of the capital In the Street performances of various trends. The Olympics in many ways helped the formation of the new generation of directors, designers, actors, critics. As well as, I hope, a new generation of the audience members – open, educated, in love with the theater. In the recent years we extended our programming to the new circus, modern ballet, traditional and experimental art from all corners of the world. I hope we continue to give joy, helping our audiences to learn the rich and complex language of contemporary theatre.

Enjoy the program of 2019 Chekhov International Theatre Festival!
